A day at the circus...

... and I survived! Actually, the circus was quite fun. Ellie enjoyed it and clapped and clapped and clapped. And I didn't even have to buy her any expensive, greasy circus food, though I did buy her a spinny-glowy-toy thing because it was cool. She liked that, too.

I didn't count calories, but I exercised moderation (for the most part - we'll get to the splurge later) and ended the day within my SparkPeople range. 1523 calories, and I am allowed 1550. Not bad for a day that included eating at McDonald's and Chinese, plus two sugary coffee drinks!

That second coffee drink was my splurge. We stopped at a gas station on the way out of Billings so I could buy some milk for Ellie and I got a cappuccino for the ride home. I felt like I'd been good all day (at McD's I got a McChicken sandwich without mayo - even though I really wanted the whole McChicken meal with the pop and fries! - and at the Chinese place I got peanut chicken and white rice with veggies and ate half of it, bringing the other half home.), so I splurged a little. And I'm okay with that. It doesn't happen very often, and it was a special day. But I'm pretty stoked to have stayed under 1550 for the day! (That's basically the equivalent of not counting points until the end of the day and finding out that you didn't even have to use your very last exercise point!)

Water, not so great. Exercise, a little walking. Fruit and Veggie count, 2. Day off and fun with friends, priceless! Ha ha! Tomorrow I'm totally back on track, but today was a fun break.

Sounds like you did okay! And you still have 5 days until you weigh in to get all of the water retaining salt out of your system! Glad it was a fun time.

yes, of course I weigh myself pretty much every day anyhow! I am down .2 today from yesterday, to the salt didn't do too much damage.

Now if only I could be as efficient with my scrapbooking time as I have been with my calories. Eek!

I know you are busy! I feel for you in that as I just had to make an appointment to play with my son because I have so much to do. But, I'd love to hear how yoru yesterday went! Do you munch as you scrap, or does the scrapping occupy your time and hands so the munching is decreased?
