Two days ago I was finally back down to 118.0, the weight I was before that two pound jump. Today I weighed myself and... I'm back at 120! I know I didn't eat the best yesterday, but I most certainly did NOT eat 7,000 calories worth, and that is the amount of calories you have to consume over what you burn in order to gain 2 lbs. It's SO frustrating!!
To top it off I woke up at 6:30 this morning just sweating like crazy! I had to get up and come sit out in the living room until I was cool enough to go back to bed, laying on top the covers, and telling Leif not to snuggle with me.
I feel like I JUST got over a slump and now I'm right back in one? WHY?!

One word: HORMONES! That was a hot flash you had. They do occur in women even before the age of menopause, and especially when the body is doing some hormonal adjustment. And weight loss can cause a few months of unstable hormones - even good weight loss!
Another word: SALT did you have BBQ sauce? or salt in those burgers? And salt is definately in cheese cake! Give yourself a good drinking day or two, and water will flush out. Plus, see HORMONES again, because that can cause you to retain water too. Is your ring tighter than normal? That's retention.
Oh, and after the walk on Sunday, with the wind wipping the moisture out of your body, probably everything you drank yesterday was kept by the body to try to be sure there is not another desert experience.
I am so sorry that this has happened! Very frustrating!
I don't think there was that much salt in the burger (no bbq sauce, and Leif doesn't put salt in the burgers, but I did have a few pickle slices. One thing, though, is that I didn't drink but about 8 oz of water yesterday. I DID have several sodas, though. But I just checked, and they either had no sodium at all, or less than 4%, so I don't think that was too damaging, but it certainly wasn't as flushing as water normally is. And I know I was thirsty all day, probably from the hike the day before. So it very well could be water weight. My ring doesn't feel too much tighter today, but maybe a smidge.
I can tell that my hormones are starting to ramp up today (good ol' pms!) so maybe they will settle down in a week and I can get back to losing. It's just frustrating because I wanted to be down to 115 by next Friday and now it's pretty much impossible.
